Job Overview
The Production Supervisor’s role is to assist the Area Supervisor/Operations Manager with the day-to-day activities of an assigned department within the operation during peak and non-peak periods. He/she will be responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing of all regular, seasonal and temporary personnel. Incumbent will be “hands-on” and possess structured problem-solving skills.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be local to or willing to relocate to the Woodridge, IL area.
Due to the seasonality of our business, extended hours including mandatory 10 to 12-hour shifts and weekend hours are needed during all peak periods. Flexibility to change shifts for short periods of time may be needed.

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting the Area Supervisor/Operations Manager with the management of all production, quality personnel and departmental issues as they arise.
- Work with Ops. Manager and other department supervisors to plan production capacity and staffing levels; help schedule personnel and other resources appropriately to efficiently execute the production plan.
- Coordinate with Ops Manager to ensure the department has sufficient personnel based on peak and non-peak needs.
- Support the development of a fully functional cross-trained team for those departments under his/her supervision.
- Ensure departmental goals in productivity, Safety, Quality, Cost, Inventory accuracy and people development are tracked and met
- Maintain a Safety First and continuous improvement-based culture.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering team to identify areas needing improvement and on-going preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Ensure employees have necessary tools to perform essential functions of their jobs.
- Analyze department operations and recommend improvement to maximize the efficiency of the operation.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
What You Should Have
Skills, Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated leadership of large, small and effective work teams

- Demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Ability to deal with and resolve conflict and discrepancies as they arise
- Ability to work with a variety of internal departments including, but not limited to: IT, Finance, Quality, Human Resources, Merchandising and Marketing
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one as well as larger group scenarios
- Understanding of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook. Experience using warehouse management systems to manage inventory preferred
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred but not required
- Enthusiastic self-starter and team player a must
- Must have ability to work weekends, holidays, extended hours and 2nd shift
- Minimum High School diploma and five years of previous supervisory experience in any industry preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Experience supervising daily activities of seasonal, temporary and full-time personnel required.
