1. Position Summary
Valor Protection Safety Agency is seeking disciplined, professional, and highly dependable Armed Safety Officers to support the safety, security, and operational stability of assigned properties, clients, events, and community environments.
Armed Safety Officers serve as a visible protective presence and are expected to deter threats, observe and report suspicious or unlawful activity, respond appropriately to incidents, and support the preservation of life, property, and order.
This role requires maturity, sound judgment, emotional discipline, professional presence, and the ability to operate within the lawful scope of private security authority. Officers must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, de escalation, accountability, report writing, and client service while upholding the standards and reputation of Valor Protection Safety Agency.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Safety and Security Presence
• Maintain a strong, alert, and professional armed presence at assigned posts, properties, events, or patrol areas
• Deter criminal activity, safety concerns, trespassing, disturbances, and unauthorized access through visibility, vigilance, and proactive observation
• Support the safety of residents, guests, staff, students, customers, vendors, visitors, and the general public within the scope of assignment
2.2 Patrol and Site Monitoring
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of assigned locations, common areas, parking areas, access points, vulnerable zones, and perimeter areas
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, criminal activity, hazards, maintenance issues, unsecured access points, and policy violations
• Perform site specific inspections, safety checks, and post duties in accordance with agency policy, post orders, and client expectations
2.3 Access Control and Site Enforcement
• Monitor and control access to property, buildings, gates, entrances, restricted areas, and designated access points
• Verify credentials, permissions, visitor status, deliveries, or entry authorization as required by the assignment
• Enforce site rules, access procedures, and property policies in a calm, professional, and respectful manner
2.4 Incident Response
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, emergencies, medical calls, threats, safety concerns, or policy violations
• Assess situations quickly, apply sound judgment, and take appropriate action consistent with training, agency policy, site directives, and applicable law
• Contact law enforcement, emergency medical services, fire services, supervisors, or client representatives as required by the nature of the incident
2.5 Documentation and Reporting
• Prepare clear, accurate, timely, and objective incident reports, daily activity reports, patrol logs, witness statements, and other required documentation
• Document relevant facts, observations, actions taken, notifications made, and final outcomes in accordance with agency standards
• Preserve the integrity of records and report all incidents truthfully and thoroughly
2.6 De Escalation and Professional Intervention
• Use verbal direction, officer presence, communication skills, and de escalation techniques to manage conflict and reduce unnecessary escalation whenever possible
• Intervene professionally in volatile situations within the scope of training and lawful private security authority
• Exercise restraint, emotional control, and professionalism under pressure
2.7 Firearm and Equipment Responsibility
• Carry and maintain agency approved firearm and related equipment in a safe, lawful, and professional manner
• Comply fully with all firearm handling standards, qualification requirements, weapon safety procedures, and armed post directives
• Immediately report any firearm related concern, safety issue, weapon incident, or equipment malfunction
2.8 Client and Community Service
• Represent Valor Protection Safety Agency with professionalism, dignity, and maturity at all times
• Provide a high standard of service to clients while protecting agency expectations, site order, and public confidence
• Communicate respectfully and effectively with clients, residents, guests, employees, students, parents, or members of the public, depending on assignment
3. Essential Duties
The Armed Safety Officer may be expected to:
• Remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift
• Stand, walk, patrol, and remain visible for extended periods
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying environments and weather conditions
• Respond quickly to emergencies and critical incidents
• Maintain control of sensitive situations while making sound operational decisions
• Follow all post orders, supervisor instructions, reporting requirements, and agency standards
• Accept reassignment, shift changes, site changes, or schedule adjustments based on business need, operational need, and client need
4. Qualifications
4.1 Minimum Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license or state identification card, as applicable to the assignment
• Current armed security license, registration, permit, or other required armed credentials in accordance with applicable state and local law
• Current firearm qualification and any required recertifications
• Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm in connection with assigned duties
• Ability to pass background screening and any additional screening required by the agency or client
• Ability to complete required onboarding, training, and site specific orientation
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned worksites
4.2 Preferred Qualifications
• Previous armed security, law enforcement, military, corrections, public safety, or related experience
• Strong report writing and observation skills
• Experience in residential, school, hospital, commercial, event, or community based assignments
• Current CPR, First Aid, or related emergency response certification, if applicable
• Bilingual communication skills, depending on assignment needs

• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and perform routine physical movement during patrol and response activity
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies, disturbances, or threats
• Ability to safely carry required duty equipment, including firearm and related gear
• Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments
• Ability to meet any agency fitness, readiness, or medical disclosure requirements applicable to the role
7. Work Environment

8. Scheduling and Assignment Expectations
• Employment as an Armed Safety Officer is with Valor Protection Safety Agency and not with any single client, property, post, or location
• Assignments, schedules, shifts, hours, reporting locations, duties, and work availability may change based on business need, client need, operational demands, performance, qualifications, licensure status, and agency requirements
• Placement at a specific site or account is not guaranteed
• Continued placement may depend on client satisfaction, site suitability, operational need, and agency discretion
