Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of our organization. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable and will support accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment application, and collections. This position also contributes to the month-end and year-end close processes, prepares journal entries, and ensures the integrity of financial data.

Working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support accounts receivable processes, including generating and distributing customer invoices, applying incoming payments, maintaining AR records, and assisting with collections on past-due accounts
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including reviewing vendor invoices, verifying purchase orders, and processing payments
  • Review and process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready records of vendor invoices and supporting documentation
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisitions, transfers, depreciation, verification, and disposals
  • Conduct physical inventories and periodic cycle counts; reconcile fixed assets to the general ledger
  • Prepare and file the annual 571-L Business Property Tax Statement
  • Prepare journal entries for accruals, reclassifications, and account adjustments during the close process
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
  • Assist with external audits and tax-related documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on accounting-related inquiries
  • Provide backup support for key accounting functions as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, including ownership of accounts payable, procurement, and fixed asset management
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical device, biotechnology, or life sciences) preferred
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Benefits

ARK Diagnostics, Inc. anticipates that the annual base salary for the Staff Accountant position could range between $43.25-$52.90. Compensation will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s credentials for the role, including education, qualifications, and type as well as length of experience. Any offered salary is also based on internal equity, internal position salary ranges, and market data. Annual base salary is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by ARK. Eligible roles come with a comprehensive benefits package and may also qualify for a variable annual bonus, contingent on company and/or individual performance in accordance with company policy.
