ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for self-motivated, creative thinkers, people that are flexible and enjoy working in teams.
You will be integrated in a product-driven business team. You will work cross-functionally and side-by-side with data analysts, project managers, collaborate with colleagues from the technology and product teams. This means you will have a front-row seat to the business and a direct impact on how our global media planning products are built and delivered.
As a senior data engineer in our team you will have the opportunity to learn about data analysis and consumer insights, process improvement and business intelligence while continuing to hone your technical skills.
You will partner with other colleagues expert in pipeline management and data analysis experts to design high-performance pipelines and increase our data production speed and delight our customers even more, working with colleagues from the technology, data solutions and product team.
You will play a critical role in redesigning our processes to make them faster and increase the data quality.
You will mentor junior engineers, lead technical design discussions, and drive engineering best practices.".
Utilising the scalability of Spark clusters on AWS, our platform offers an intuitive, virtually no-code interface that enables users to effortlessly assemble, transform, and serialise data. This capability is paramount for supporting our sophisticated media planning solutions, democratising data access and manipulation, and substantially expediting the delivery of valuable insights without the conventional reliance on coding proficiency.
Qualifications
Must have
- Capability to design scalable data processing pipelines
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science Data Engineering, or proven experience in the field;
- Knowledge of and experience with software engineering best practices is crucial.
- Proficiency in distributed computational engines such as Spark, Presto, and Trino.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Knowledge of continuous integration pipelines, orchestration tools
- Fast learner
- Team player with flexible, proactive and pragmatic attitude
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Additional Information
Preferred
- Strong experience in AWS Airflow and Spark is a plus
- Experience in market research, survey or media fields
- Ability to interact with product teams teams as key stakeholders
