The Maintenance Lead will work as part of a dynamic team of technicians responsible for the maintenance of all facility maintenance, including

building and equipment. The role involves ensuring the successful completion, quality, and coordination of all maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate

will contribute to maintaining safe, functional, and well-presented facilities, working closely with fellow technicians and the Facilities and Maintenance Manager.

1. Lead the maintenance team, including assigning tasks, and overseeing performance.

2. Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery, tools, and equipment.

3. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, and coordinate or perform repairs as needed.

4. Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently to minimize downtime.

5. Work closely with production teams to identify areas for improvement and equipment needs.

6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

7. Maintain records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and equipment performance.

8. Monitor inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring that supplies are available as needed.

9. Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

10. Train and mentor maintenance team members.

11. Support OPEX through both weekly 5S and monthly world class audits and coordination of continuous improvement activities.

12. Support and Assist manager with the implementation of special projects.

13. Manage outside contractor activities as required, including obtaining quotations and ensuring the contractors are following Carfair rules and

requirements.

14. Report unexpected issues and delays and bring forward ideas and options for resolution with Manager.

Requirements

- Industrial Supervision, Previous Manufacturing

- engineering or technologist certificate or degree and/or Industrial Mechanic Certification.

- 3 to 5 years of Maintenance experience in a Manufacturing environment.

- Two-way radio system.

• Fax machine.

• Telephone and general office equipment.

• Excel training would be considered an asset.

• Must have good people skills.

• Must have good oral and written communication skills.

• Must be able to monitor and control different tasks.

• Must have medium level computer skills.

• Must have elementary mechanical aptitude.

• Must be able to read blueprints.
