As a Presales Solutions Engineer, you aren’t just a technical expert: you’re the ultimate bridge-builder among our product, our sales team, and our customers. 

You’ll turn complex customer puzzles into "Aha!" moments, shaping how the world’s biggest brands experience the joy of Kahoot! You’ll translate real customer problems into clear solutions, shaping how we position Kahoot! in each opportunity, and make sure what we sell is something customers can successfully adopt and grow with.

You will own the technical and solution narrative in enterprise deals, digging into customer requirements, connecting them to the right parts of the Kahoot! platform and roadmap, and guiding stakeholders toward the best-fit approach with clear, honest recommendations.

This pre-sales / sales engineering role (which is not a software engineering role) is ideal for someone with a strong balance of both technical and business acumen. Someone with also a strong customer-facing SaaS background who wants to be close to the customer, influence deal strategy, and deepen their impact in technical, consultative sales.

In this position:

  • You’ll partner closely with Account Executives to shape opportunities, design solutions, and deliver demos that win trust and accelerate deals. 
  • Your work will directly influence how enterprise customers experience Kahoot!, helping them connect their challenges to tangible business outcomes.
  • You’ll be part of a global high-impact Solutions Engineering team driving Kahoot!’s growth as we expand the Kahoot! Core product into the enterprise market, with a focus on customers across the Americas.

This role is ideal for someone early to mid in their pre-sales career, ready to take that next step and excited to grow alongside a maturing Presales function, and help shape it.

What you’ll do (your core focus areas):

  • Partnering with Account Executives to qualify opportunities, run discovery, and design tailored solutions that create clear customer excitement.
  • Leading high-impact demos and presentations that tell a compelling story, showcase Kahoot!’s value, and help customers visualize measurable outcomes.
  • Guiding prospects through evaluations and proof-of-concepts, helping them validate fit, navigate questions, and move confidently toward a decision.

You will also:

  • Get under the skin of customer challenges, define success criteria, and map Kahoot!’s capabilities to business priorities and ROI.
  • Contribute to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires as part of the broader pre-sales motion — partnering with Sales, Product, and Security to ensure accuracy and speed (this is a smaller, but important, part of the role).
  • Use data and pipeline insights to support forecasting and deal strategy.
  • Share your insights and best practices, helping to shape how Kahoot! shows its impact to enterprise customers and evolve pre-sales excellence across regions.
  • Leverage AI tools and creative storytelling to work smarter, sharpen your demos, and elevate customer conversations.

Requirements

What we’d love to see:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in B2B SaaS in roles such as Pre-sales / Solutions Consulting / Sales Engineering, or in customer-facing roles like Customer Success, Advocacy, or Support with a strong technical and commercial edge.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (spoken and written). Other languages, such as Spanish, are a plus.
  • Strong discovery, storytelling, and business acumen — you can translate product capabilities into clear customer value and measurable outcomes.
  • A curious, growth-minded approach; you enjoy learning, experimenting, and helping build something new.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across Sales, Product, and technical teams, and to work comfortably in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Familiarity with structured qualification frameworks (e.g., MEDDIC/MEDDPICC) and a commercial mindset that helps you identify value drivers and influence decision-making.
  • Ability and willingness to work on-site in our Austin office 4 days per week
