Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place!
E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system that will fundamentally change the design, economics, manufacturing and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.
We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed to innovate space-based communications and deliver actionable intelligence that will expand global economies, protect space and our planet and enhance our overall quality of life.
What is the role?
The Safety Manager is responsible for leading all occupational health and safety (OH&S) programs, regulatory compliance activities, and safety culture initiatives across the site. This role advises senior leadership on worker safety risks, regulatory obligations, and corrective actions, while directly delivering safety training, incident investigations, and audit programs. The Safety Manager serves as the subject matter authority on life-safety requirements, emergency response, and EH&S governance.
What you will do
Leadership Oversight & Governance: Owns OH&S governance at the site level; advises senior leadership on worker safety risks, regulatory exposure, and compliance status.
Facilities Management: Verifies that facility conditions meet occupational safety requirements, including housekeeping, egress, equipment guarding, and hazard controls.
Maintenance & Reliability: Verifies that maintenance activities comply with safety requirements, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and hot work procedures.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S): Leads comprehensive safety programs, incident investigations, safety training delivery, and regulatory audit coordination.
Physical Security & Site Access: Ensures that physical security controls do not introduce occupational safety risks or compromise emergency egress and life-safety systems.
Contractor & Vendor Oversight: Qualifies contractors for safety compliance; enforces site safety requirements and monitors contractor safety performance throughout project execution.
Emergency Management & Business Continuity: Leads life-safety emergency response, drills, and medical coordination; ensures readiness for all credible emergency scenarios.
Capital Projects & Engineering Support: Reviews capital project designs for safety and regulatory compliance, providing written safety input at each design phase.
Training & Competency Management: Defines and delivers safety and regulatory training programs aligned with OSHA requirements, operational hazards, and organizational risk profile.
Financial & Resource Management: Manages safety program budgets including training resources, PPE, industrial hygiene monitoring, and compliance activities.
Leadership & People Management: Leads safety culture and accountability programs; develops safety competency across all site personnel through coaching, communication, and recognition.
