Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Coordinator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping and financial report preparation.

Duties

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes within the organization.
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Perform double entry bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Interpret financial reports to provide insights on company performance to management.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Sage for efficient data management and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Support private equity transactions by preparing relevant documentation and reports as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in an accounting role, with a focus on financial report writing and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage or similar platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in payroll processing preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
