Reporting to senior leadership, the Japan Partnership Manager will be the driving force behind ThreeTrader's partnership strategy in Japan. You will identify, develop, and manage a diverse network of partners including IBs, trading educators, affiliates, and media platforms to grow our client base and strengthen our brand presence in the Japanese market.

This is a high-impact role suited to someone with deep knowledge of the Japanese CFD/forex landscape, an established network, and the ability to operate across both English and Japanese business environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Partnership Development

•     Identify and develop strategic partnerships in the Japanese market to drive client acquisition and brand growth.

•     Build and cultivate relationships with key partner segments including:

–     Introducing Brokers (IBs)

–     Trading educators and influencers

–     Financial media platforms

–     Affiliate networks

–     Trading communities

•     Negotiate and manage partnership agreements and commercial terms.

 

2. Partner Relationship Management

•     Maintain strong relationships with existing Japanese partners and ensure long-term collaboration success.

•     Provide partners with marketing support, campaign materials, and timely product updates.

•     Monitor partner performance and identify opportunities to increase trading volume and client engagement.

•     Serve as the primary point of contact for all Japanese partner relationships.

 

3. Partnership Campaign Management

•     Plan and execute co-marketing campaigns with Japanese partners.

•     Coordinate campaign activities including:

–     Trading promotions

–     Educational webinars

–     Joint marketing initiatives

•     Ensure all campaigns are localised and aligned with Japanese marketing norms and regulatory requirements.

 

4. Market Expansion & Business Development

•     Identify new growth opportunities and distribution channels within Japan.

•     Research and evaluate potential partnerships across:

–     Financial websites and investment communities

–     Trading schools and educational content creators

–     Digital content creators and social media influencers

•     Develop strategies to increase ThreeTrader's brand visibility and market share in Japan.

 

5. Japanese Market Insights

•     Monitor trends in the Japanese trading industry and partnership ecosystem.

•     Track competitor activities and market movements across key brokers operating in Japan.

•     Provide regular insights and recommendations to internal teams on partnership opportunities and market positioning.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Native or business-level Japanese proficiency (written and spoken); English proficiency required for internal communication.
  • Proven experience in partnership development, business development, or affiliate management within the CFD, forex, or broader financial services industry.
  • An existing network of IBs, affiliates, or trading influencers in the Japanese market is highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of the Japanese trading landscape, investor behaviours, and regulatory environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and manage complex partnership agreements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the cultural fluency to operate effectively across Japanese and Australian business environments.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple partnerships simultaneously.
