SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Floating Medical Assistant is responsible for performing medical assistant functions at all ProHealth locations. The onsite medical assistant will be required to travel to various sites at varying times and at short notice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for conducting various occupational tests such breathe alcohol, respirator fit tests and other testing as necessary.
· Responsible for collecting specimens for drug screens through random testing and post-accident testing.

· Scans and maintains patient information pursuant to company policy and procedures.
· Ensures the office has all necessary supplies for testing.
· Responsible for assisting at all clinic and lab locations.
· Responsible for using office equipment and computer programs proficiently, ensuring all information is current and correct and informing managers of any issues.
· Must be available to work on Saturdays
· Administrative duties such as filing, greeting patients, completing billing documentation, completing patient notes in EHR system, and scanning/associating documents.
· All other duties as assigned.
Position Type and Expected Work Hours:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday hours up to twice a month. Must be available starting at 6am.
Travel: Travel is required to Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, Milton, Pace, Fort Walton Beach, Crestview and Santa Rosa Beach and may occur with little notice.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- Certified Phlebotomist
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a medical office setting.
- Minimum 2 years’ phlebotomy experience required
- Must be able to work normal business hours of 8am to 5pm Monday – Friday and be available for Saturday 8:00am – 1pm
- Must be US Citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the US.
- Requires a person to be a self-starter that is motivated to provide excellent medical care with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Must possess the ability to multi-task and work efficiently
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- EMR experience a plus.
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Have a strong commitment to excellence in patient care.
- Possess high ethical standards carrying out responsibilities with integrity, honesty and loyalty.
- Must be a critical thinker and problem solver.
- Excellent time management skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 20lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Position requires standing, walking and sitting at a desk for periods of time.
