The Development (Business) Analyst supports the company’s growth and expansion strategy by assisting with market research, territory evaluation, and development analytics. This role helps identify and review potential new territories, conducts site evaluations for existing locations to support viability assessments, and maintains accurate records within the store development pipeline. The Development Analyst also fulfills data requests related to growth initiatives, develops and maintains dashboards to track key metrics and timelines, and explores new data sources and processes to enhance reporting capabilities and inform strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Support the Development team in achieving team objectives by assisting with data requests, basic reporting, and maintaining dashboards that track development and growth initiatives.
Follow established processes for collecting, organizing, and reporting data related to store development and expansion efforts.
Assist in preparing recurring reports and updating dashboards used to monitor key development metrics and timelines.
Help maintain accurate records within the store development pipeline, ensuring information is organized and up to date.
Review data and reports to help identify basic trends or patterns that may inform development decisions.
Assist with compiling and presenting findings in a clear and easy-to-understand format for team members and stakeholders.
Collaborate with team members to improve reporting processes, documentation, and data organization.
Support efforts to identify opportunities to streamline processes or improve how development data is tracked and reported.
Work closely with the Data Analytics and Data Integrity teams to ensure development data is accurate and used consistently.
Participate in team initiatives and projects as assigned by leadership.
Collaborate with other analysts and team members to share knowledge and develop analytical and business skills.
Continuously build knowledge of data tools, reporting methods, and development analytics to support the team more effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field preferred but not required.
1–2 years of experience in an analyst, reporting, business operations, or similar role; internships or academic project experience may be considered.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for organizing and analyzing data.
Familiarity with SQL or other data querying tools is preferred but not required.
Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize and maintain accurate data and reports.
Analytical mindset with the ability to review information, identify simple trends, and support data-driven decisions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly.
Experience or exposure to tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Python, or R is a plus but not required.
