We’re looking for a passionate Bartender, a Service Rockstar to join our team. At Aethos, you aren’t just serving drinks; you are a Sunset Greeter, the welcoming face that sets the tone for unforgettable guest experiences. As a Cocktail Navigator, you will guide guests through our menu with the expertise of a seasoned sailor, ensuring every interaction is as memorable as an Ericeira sunset.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Mixology & Beverage Craftsmanship: Prepare and serve an array of beverages—from classic cocktails to signature creations—with precision, consistency, and creativity. Maintain deep knowledge of spirits, wines, and seasonal ingredients while staying updated on industry trends.
  • Guest Engagement & Service: Act as an Order Surfer, gliding through service to take and deliver orders with speed. Handle special requests and dietary restrictions with care, proactively monitoring guest satisfaction and resolving concerns effortlessly.
  • Bar Setup & Cleanliness: Ensure the bar is perfectly stocked (tools, garnishes, glassware) before every shift. Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace to uphold Aethos’ high standards and safety protocols.
  • Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor daily inventory, report low stock, and assist with orders. Follow proper storage, labeling, and rotation practices to maintain quality and minimize waste.
  • Transactions & Compliance: Process guest payments accurately, manage tabs, and handle end-of-day reports. Comply with all health and safety regulations, hygiene protocols, and responsible alcohol service laws.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless flow. Participate in briefings and contribute to a positive, solution-oriented team culture.

    • Core Competencies & Requirements

  • Language Skills: Fluency in both Portuguese and English is mandatory.
  • Hospitality Mindset: You are a Natural Host with a warm, down-to-earth attitude. You listen, understand, and anticipate guest needs.
  • Experience: Previous hospitality experience (minimum 5 years) is highly valued, though passion and a natural ability to host are equally vital.
  • Reliability & Flexibility: "Reliable as the Tide"—you are punctual and committed. You are Wave-Ready for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. We value your private time, and extra shifts will be compensated.
