Description
The Workday Technical Analyst is a hands-on expert across the full Workday suite—HCM, Financials, SCM, and Planning—with a primary focus on Financials, Security Administration and Integrations, and functional support for configuration and optimization. This role ensures secure, scalable, and compliant Workday operations, supporting both strategic initiatives and daily business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Support
- Provide subject matter expertise and hands-on support for Workday modules: HCM, Financials, SCM, and Planning.
- Assist business stakeholders with configuration updates, troubleshooting, and release feature assessments.
- Support testing and deployment of Workday releases and enhancements.
- Collaborate with functional leads to translating business requirements into Workday configurations.
Security Administration
- Design, configure, and maintain Workday security roles, domain and business process security policies, and dynamic security groups.
- Lead security audits and ensure compliance with internal audit standards through proactive monitoring and documentation.
- Manage authentication strategies including SSO, MFA, and environment-specific access (e.g., Production vs. Sandbox).
- Respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation plans.
- Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to align security practices with enterprise risk and regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain security documentation, training materials, and change control records.
Integration & Technical Support
- Design and develop scalable integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services (REST/SOAP).
- Lead integration lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into robust integration solutions.
- Monitor and optimize integration performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all integrations.
- Support data conversion and migration efforts.
- Implement and manage secure authentication protocols.
- Stay current with Workday releases and integration best practices.
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal IT teams to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards using Workday Report Writer and Prism Analytics.
- Ensure secure access to sensitive data and compliance with data governance policies.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Workday experience across multiple modules (HCM, FIN, SCM, Adaptive, Strategic Sourcing, PRISM).
- 2+ years of hands-on Workday security administration experience.
- Proven experience with Workday integrations and technical troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of Workday business processes and organizational design.
- Proficiency in Workday Studio, EIB, Report Writer, and security configuration.
- Workday certifications in Security, HCM, or Integrations preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
