Miller International, Inc., designer of Cinch® and Cruel®, is searching for its newest team member at our headquarters in Denver, Colorado! We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative General Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively across departments.

This role is responsible for supporting the Controller in carrying out a broad range of the company’s financial operations, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close processes. The person in this position will play a crucial role in maintaining proper financial processes and internal controls for the Company. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and committed to accuracy, with a genuine interest in growing their accounting knowledge and career.

This position is in-office only.

Salary: $60,000 $70,000 annually

As a General Accountant, you would be responsible for:

·         Maintain the General Ledger for a diverse mix of business entities

·         Analyze, reconcile, and post activity to intercompany accounts

·         Prepare and review journal entries on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as needed

·         Assist in the timely, accurate closing of the Company’s accounting systems and records

·         Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure proper recording

·         Provide explanations for changes and variances and resolve discrepancies as needed

·         Prepare detailed reports as requested by management

·         Support fellow department personnel with processes including payables, and inventory

·         Prepare and file monthly, quarterly sales tax

·         Support reviews and audits of the Company’s systems and records

·         Monthly bank reconciliations

·         Monthly Accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses

·         Bank deposits/Wire transfers

·         Assist with related special projects, as required

·         Other duties may be assigned

 

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and work experience; 5 years’ accounting experience, including at least 2 years’ full charge bookkeeping experience or equivalent.

·         Accounting experience in wholesale distribution, retail sales, and/or consumer goods industry preferred

·         MUST have experience with QuickBooks Online and Shopify

·         Inventory management

·         Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Excel, Word and Outlook

·         Attention to detail and accuracy a must

·         Strong written, verbal and inter-personal communication skills

·         Self-starter who requires minimal supervision

·         Fast learner with ability to adapt in a changing environment

·         Exceptional organization skills

·         Ability to meet assigned deadlines and follow standard operating procedures

·         Fixed Asset experience a plus
