Your role and responsibilities

As an Application Architect - Connected Solutions & IoT, you will be responsible for designing, architecting, and leading the development of secure, scalable, and intelligent connected ecosystems that bridge devices, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications. You will collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, data engineers, and development teams to translate business objectives into robust technical architectures that drive innovation and operational efficiency.

Required technical and professional expertise

Key Responsibilities

Architect and design end-to-end IoT and connected application solutions, covering edge devices, communication protocols, data ingestion layers, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.

Develop and govern back-end architectures and microservices, ensuring high performance, security, and maintainability.

Design and manage API frameworks and integrations between IoT platforms, enterprise systems, and third-party applications, ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.

Collaborate with business and technical teams to define system requirements, data models, and technology stacks that support connected services and digital transformation goals.

Evaluate and select cloud, database, and middleware technologies, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and scalability requirements.

Implement best practices for data management, including SQL and NoSQL database design, data streaming, and data lifecycle governance.

Embed security principles across all layers of the solution — from device authentication and encryption to API and data access control.

Lead architectural reviews, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and technology assessments to validate design decisions and recommend optimizations.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and DevOps practices.

Monitor emerging technologies in IoT, edge computing, and AI/ML to continuously evolve connected solutions and recommend innovative approaches.

Engage with stakeholders and clients to articulate architecture strategies, present technical roadmaps, and ensure alignment with business outcomes.
