Crest Operations is seeking a Communications Specialist to support communication initiatives to drive business, culture, and brand objectives throughout Crest Industries. This position will collaborate with team members across Crest and our business units to tell our story by developing content and deploying it across multiple platforms. This is a multifaceted role that impacts our organization's success: approximately 50% of your time will be dedicated to internal communications and employee engagement and 50% to external communication and branding.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will focus on strengthening communications quality and consistency and increasing engagement across key channels.
Support creation and implementation of internal communication strategy to enhance employee engagement and retention and to promote a healthy workplace culture.
Create engaging and informative content for various internal communication channels through graphic design, video shooting and editing, and general corporate communications.
Coordinate company-wide digital and in-person employee events to promote engagement and connection across the Crest Family of Companies.
Manage social media strategy and corporate digital presence on interactive social platforms.
Lead company strategy for local community events and outreach efforts – this includes occasional weekend or after-hours events.
Work collaboratively with embedded Marketing, HR, and Talent Acquisition teams to support and manage multiple initiatives and boost interactivity amongst Crest teams and their communities.
Stay informed on market trends and innovations and analyze opportunities to implement new programs and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a similar field with at least two (2) years of relevant experience.
Strong writing skills.
Passion for building relationships and creating a healthy company culture.
Verified experience in communications, social media, and event management.
Proficiency in graphic design (Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.)
Experience operating a DSLR camera for photo and video shooting.
Production experience using Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, After Effects) is preferred.
Experience with mobile-optimized content creation (photo, video, graphics) is preferred.
Ability to master technical systems and communicate using metrics and analytics.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Will work primarily in an office environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental hazards. Some domestic travel may be required less than 10% of the time. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking. Mental requirements include: Problem solving, ability to concentrate, oral and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
