Essential Functions
- Work with your leadership to create a sales plan to develop a prospect list to capture new business
- Full cycle prospecting activities including qualification of leads, cold calls, and sales presentations as well as existing customers to increase sales
- Strong knowledge of hose and fittings products and demonstrate the ability to understand and fill customer orders.
- Responsible for managing a sales territory of customers and prospects within it, working closely with customers to become a valued supplier in order to service their hose and fitting needs.
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers including assessing customer needs and processing orders, reviewing inventory availability and ensuring customer satisfaction, while making sure to sell product at the gross profit margin as set by Management. Utilization of tools, resources and CRM to plan and manage time and territory
Experience, Education and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial sales experience required.
- Experience in the industrial hose and fitting industry strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of industry concepts, products, and customer needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish trust and credibility.
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Computer and technology proficient including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ability to learn and effectively use CRM systems and related Apps.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required; ability to travel extensively within territory, including occasional overnight travel.
- Frequent communication with customers in person, by phone, and via email.
