We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Product Engineer to lead a team of engineers in the validation, characterization, and qualification of new products in the semiconductor test industry. This role involves a combination of hands-on technical work, team leadership, and strategic collaboration with the Director of Product & Test engineering to set the direction for the group.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analog circuit characterization, and NPI processes, coupled with excellent bench lab, data analysis, and management skills. They, along with the team, will be fully responsible for bringing products from Silicon On Dock to Engineering Sample to full volume Production status.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor junior to senior level hardware and software engineers, setting goals, providing guidance, and ensuring high quality, on time delivery
- Collaborate with project management to plan, schedule, and track back end NPI development through production transfer
- Oversee validation, characterization, and qualification of analog circuits including DACs, ADCs, op amps, PMUs, I/Os, and drivers up to 5GHz
- Develop efficient evaluation and production test methods and analyze ATE characterization and shmoo data to debug and validate new silicon
- Execute qualification activities including foundry process validation, HTOL, burn in, ESD, and latch up testing
- Partner with design, test, quality, and operations teams to debug silicon at the circuit and full chip levels and support ES and production silicon shipments
- Define and implement PCB evaluation boards including schematics, layout, manufacturing, lab automation, and bench testing to improve efficiency
- Interface with internal and external test facilities to ensure smooth transition of NPI parts to full volume production
- Utilize tools such as JMP, MATLAB, Excel, JIRA, Microsoft Project, and Cadence for data analysis, tracking, schematic, PCB design, and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering, with a focus on analog circuits.
- Proven expertise in characterizing and debugging analog circuits (e.g., DACs, ADCs, Op-amps).
- Familiarity with DFT (Design for Testability) and ATE development.
- Experience managing NPI parts from development to full-volume production.
- Strong lab skills and experience with lab automation.
- Proficient in data analysis tools such as JMP, MATLAB, and Excel.
- Knowledge of IC and PCB design tools and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with qualification processes like foundry process, HTOL, Burn-In, ESD, and latch-up testing.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

The salary range for this role is $160,000.00-$198,000.00. The final compensation will depend on your experience, skill set, and how well you're able to highlight your background throughout the interview process.
