Veterans Engineering is in search of compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) specializing in geriatric care to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be providing essential nursing care to elderly patients in various healthcare settings. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health and medical needs, taking vital signs and performing health screenings.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Assist in daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions and report changes to the supervising RN or physician.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation according to policies.
  • Encourage and support patients in their rehabilitation and wellness goals.

Requirements

  • Current and active LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in geriatric nursing preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong communication skills and compassion for patient care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation practices.

Travel Requirement

Travel to client locations may be required for this position and will vary based on project needs.
