Position Summary
e.l.f. Beauty is seeking a Summer Intern, Regulatory to support international regulatory activities across existing markets and expansion efforts. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to global cosmetic regulations by assisting with product documentation, registrations, compliance reviews, and regulatory research. This internship offers a behind-the-scenes look at how products move from concept to compliant global launch in a fast-paced beauty environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Track, review, and file documentation for international product dossiers
  • Support cosmetic product registration and notification processes in global markets
  • Coordinate registration sample submissions as needed
  • Review raw material documentation for regulatory compliance
  • Assist with reviewing final product formulas for market compliance
  • Monitor, summarize, and share updates on new or amended international regulations
  • Communicate regulatory team needs cross-functionally and track the status of requests
  • Requirements:

  • Must be a rising junior or senior at the time of the internship
  • Must be available for the full internship period: June 1st - August 28th
  • Available for in-office work at least three days per week
  • Ability to attend monthly evening calls between seven and eight p.m. Eastern Time
  • Currently pursuing a degree in a science-based curriculum (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Engineering) or a related field
  • Highly collaborative and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable learning and working within web-based databases and regulatory submission portals
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Commitment to accuracy, quality, and integrity of information
  • Business Rationale:

  • Under the direction of the Senior Regulatory Manager, this e.l.f.tern will support the international Regulatory team across both established markets and expansion initiatives. The role will help maintain product registrations, track progress to ensure business timelines are met, review formulas and documentation for launch feasibility, and research evolving global regulatory requirements.
