Description
getolo is looking for a Workplace IT Platform / Integration Engineer (f/m/d) to design, maintain, and improve the integrations and workflows that connect our workplace systems.
This role sits at the intersection of IT operations, platform engineering, and People processes and focuses on reliability, automation, and system clarity.
You will act as the technical authority for workplace integrations, ensuring that systems work together consistently, transparently, and with minimal manual intervention.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design, own, and continuously improve end-to-end workplace workflows
(e.g. onboarding, offboarding, role and access changes) - Define and document source-of-truth rules between workplace systems
- Build and maintain integrations using APIs, scripts, webhooks, and automation tools
- Debug recurring failures and eliminate manual workaround processes
- Improve existing automations to be resilient, observable, documented, and maintainable
- Proactively identify broken, fragile, or inefficient workflows and fix them
- Evaluate existing tools and propose replacements where systems are not fit for purpose
- Act as the technical authority when workplace systems disagree
- Maintain clear technical documentation explaining system behavior, decisions, and trade-offs
Requirements
Degree or equivalent practical experience in:
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Business Informatics
- IT Management
- or a comparable technical background
Formal education is less important than hands-on integration and automation experience
Technical Experience (experience or strong willingness to learn)
- Identity & Access Management concepts and systems
- Google Workspace
- Atlassian Suite
- Slack
- Device Management (e.g. Kandji, Intune)
- Asset Management tools (e.g. Jira Assets)
- Automation tools (e.g. Zapier, n8n, scripting)
- APIs, webhooks, authentication concepts
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure – exposure is sufficient)
Professional Profile
- Experience designing, building, or maintaining automation workflows
- Proven ability to reduce manual operational work
- Strong reasoning about system failures, trade-offs, and edge cases
- Comfortable making and defending technical decisions
- Proven experience integrating SaaS systems in complex environments
- Independent, proactive working style with a constructive challenge mindset
