e.l.f. Cosmetics is seeking a Summer Intern, Lifecycle Analytics to support competitive analysis and performance reporting across lifecycle marketing channels. In this role, you’ll help track and analyze CRM messaging across email, SMS, and app notifications, summarize insights, and support reporting for key triggered campaigns. This is a hands-on opportunity to build analytical and reporting skills within a fast-paced consumer beauty brand.
Responsibilities:
Track and review CRM lifecycle marketing messages from key competitors across email, SMS, and app messaging
Maintain organized competitive analysis trackers and supporting documentation
Identify patterns in competitor messaging, offers, timing, and overall customer experience
Summarize insights into clear, digestible takeaways for internal teams
Support weekly and monthly reporting for triggered lifecycle campaigns
Pull and organize performance metrics, including engagement and conversion results
Assist in creating simple reports and presentation slides for internal reviews
Support meeting preparation, summaries, and ad hoc analysis requests
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Communications, or a related field
Must be a rising junior or senior at the time of the internship
Must be available for the full internship period: June 1 - August 28
Available for in-office work at least three days per week
Strong interest in data, reporting, and performance analysis
Comfortable working in spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Clear written communication skills
Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
Interest in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or digital marketing is a plus
Passion for beauty, skincare, and consumer brands
Business Rationale:
This summer, the e.l.f.tern will support lifecycle marketing analytics through competitive analysis and campaign performance reporting. The intern will focus on tracking competitor lifecycle messaging within the beauty and skincare space and supporting reporting for key triggered campaigns across email, SMS, and app messaging. Their work will help the team better understand market trends and evaluate the performance of our lifecycle campaigns.
