As a Dermatology Medical Assistant in Greensboro, you will be an essential part of our clinical team, working closely with physicians to ensure optimal patient care and smooth daily operations. Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and accurately recording medical histories.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring that necessary instruments and equipment are available and ready to use.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and manage specimen preparation for analysis.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential patient records, adhering to all privacy regulations.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate office communications for efficiency.
  • Educate patients about their treatment plans, medications, and effective skincare practices.
  • Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and well-stocked with medical supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in the field of dermatology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient engagement.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software is advantageous.
