AMT is seeking a Transportation Project Manager with 8-12 years’ experience for a position in our Towson, Maryland or Rockville, Maryland office. The position is full-time, and AMT will provide the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home 2 to 3 days per week, as agreed upon with the Transportation Group Leader.
You’ll find success in this position if you:
· Have strong time management skills and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects
· Can identify and resolve project risks and design challenges
· Enjoy building and motivating teams
· Have strong written and oral communication skills
Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC Required
8 to 12 years’ experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation with past project management experience
Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Strong written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities
Leading multi-discipline teams to deliver transportation design projects, with a focus on multi-modal roadway projects
Serving as liaison between client and project team including external stakeholder agencies
Managing all technical resources on the project team including subconsultants
Preparing task proposals and establish project pricing and budgets
Developing project management plans for assigned projects and preparing monthly progress reports
Developing and maintaining project schedules
Leading or participating in client meetings and presentations
Providing quality control reviews of submittals and deliverables
Mentoring and training junior staff
Assisting with production tasks (CADD drawings, reports, graphics / renderings, etc.)
Assisting Group Leader and Division Directors with business development and proposals
Maintaining a positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members
