What we are looking for
As we continue to build a global People function, we are looking for a People Generalist who is energised by shaping a meaningful and consistent employee experience across regions. Based in the US, you will bring essential grounding in US employment practices while supporting people processes around the world, including gaining exposure to UK and EMEA frameworks as you grow.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their People career who wants broad global exposure, enjoys variety, and is eager to learn how employee relations (ER) and lifecycle processes operate across multiple regions. You’ll be central to the smooth running of our global processes, driving coordination, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to thoughtful, values-aligned interactions at each stage.
What you will do
You’ll support the delivery of key People programs by coordinating global employee lifecycle processes, guiding day-to-day offboarding, and contributing to performance, development, and engagement initiatives. You’ll work closely with the People Director, Success & Relations on employee relations matters, organising case activity, capturing documentation, and handling straightforward situations. You’ll maintain accurate data and process materials, help prepare and schedule learning and feedback cycles, and collaborate with regional partners to ensure alignment across countries and time zones.
Global Employee Lifecycle Support
- Coordinate key lifecycle processes across all regions, ensuring clarity, precision, and a smooth employee experience from onboarding touchpoints to global offboarding.
- Lead the tracking and coordination of introductory periods and 6-week syncs, ensuring timely prompts to managers, accurate documentation, and consistent follow-up on themes and actions.
- Manage day-to-day global offboarding, including communications, system updates, documentation, and manager support, escalating complex cases to the People Director.
- Maintain employee lifecycle templates, resources, and standards; keeping them up to date, compliant, and aligned to regional requirements.
- Support lifecycle requests such as basic flexible working applications, long-service tracking, and our company recognition programme.
Employee Relations (ER)
- Partner with the People Director on ER matters by preparing case materials, coordinating meetings, capturing documentation, and managing follow-through across regions.
- With guidance, handle straightforward matters, helping managers navigate outcomes that balance employee needs, risk, and business priorities.
- Support the parental leave process, coordinating meetings, risk assessments, documentation, and manager communication.
- Support managers in navigating workplace conflict, providing guidance on early intervention, appropriate next steps, and documentation, while escalating complex or sensitive matters to the Director, People Success & Relations as needed.
Foundational Knowledge
- Apply foundational US employment knowledge on terminations, performance processes, leave types and compliance basics to support day-to-day Success & Relations matters.
- Support the People Director by providing context, resources, and guidance for common US scenarios, whilst building up your own knowledge in tandem.
- Support People processes across the UK, EMEA, and other regions, gaining exposure to varied employment practices.
- Develop a growing understanding of EMEA frameworks through hands-on experience, curiosity, and partnership with regional collaborators.
- Maintain accuracy and alignment across global People processes and documentation as your knowledge grows.
Performance, Development & Wellbeing
- Support global performance and feedback cycles through communication, scheduling, system updates, and tracking.
- Help deliver leadership development and training programs—coordinating preparation, logistics, and follow-up actions.
- Maintain learning resources and wellbeing initiatives, including managing the wellbeing calendar and distributing resources and campaigns through our mental health platform, Unmind.
Culture, Engagement & Global Projects
- Contribute to global engagement initiatives, supporting surveys, culture activities, and employee engagement efforts across regions.
- Analyse lifecycle data—including PTO, sickness, turnover, and engagement inputs—and share meaningful insights with the People Director.
- Collaborate across the global People team to ensure coordinated, thoughtful, and values-led interactions for employees in every region.
Requirements
Who you are
- An emerging People generalist ready to broaden your experience across the employee lifecycle and build foundational ER skills.
- Based in the US with grounding in US employment law, knowledge of the employee lifecycle and curiosity to learn global People practices.
- Empathetic, organised, and thoughtful with sensitive information.
- Calm, clear, and solutions-oriented during challenging or emotionally charged conversations.
- A proactive problem solver who thrives in a dynamic, globally distributed environment.
- Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks across time zones.
- Motivated by helping people and teams succeed.
- Someone who naturally brings our values to life—showing authenticity in how they connect with others, resilience in navigating challenges, and a touch of magic in the care and creativity they bring to their work.
What you will need
- 1–3 years in an HR coordinator, HR administrator, or similar People operations role.
- Foundational understanding of US employment laws, principles and common People processes.
- Experience supporting or observing sensitive or complex conversations.
- Confidence working with People systems, spreadsheets, and data reporting.
- Strong organisational habits, excellent communication, and dependable follow-through.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred (or interest in pursuing one).
- Ability to work effectively with global teams and adapt to varying time zones.
