Veterans Engineering is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team in delivering patient-centered therapy services. In this role, you will evaluate patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans to help them regain their independence and improve their daily living skills. Responsibilities
- Conduct functional assessments and develop personalized therapy goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs, mobility, and functional independence
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation Educate patients and families on treatment plans and progress
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with veterans or elderly populations
- Patient Evaluation & Assessment Ability to perform initial and ongoing assessments
- Identify functional deficits in mobility, ADLs, cognition, and safety
- Develop individualized plan of care ADL & Functional Training Training in grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding
- Ability to teach adaptive strategies and compensatory techniques
- Experience treating adult and geriatric populations Knowledge of Medicare guidelines (e.g., RUG/PDPM)
- Discharge planning and caregiver training Understanding of fall prevention and safety protocols
Travel Requirements
Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
