Who we are looking for

At Re:Build Manufacturing, people are at the center of how we build, grow, and operate. We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to serve as the primary Human Resources partner for an assigned site or group, operating in alignment with The Re:Build Way—a culture rooted in ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and respect for people.

This role owns the full lifecycle of HR support at the site level and acts as a trusted partner to leaders and employees. The HR Manager balances hands-on execution with thoughtful partnership, ensuring strong people practices while supporting Re:Build’s mission to revitalize American manufacturing.

You will work closely with site leadership and the centralized HQ HR function to deliver consistent, compliant, and scalable HR programs—while adapting them to the realities of a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Be a Trusted Partner to Leaders & Employees

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters, including policies, benefits, leave programs, and employee relations
  • Partner with site leaders to solve people challenges with a practical, business-minded, and employee-focused approach
  • Provide coaching and guidance on performance management, development conversations, and corrective action, advancing complex issues as needed
  • Build trust by handling sensitive situations with discretion, fairness, and integrity

Support Talent & Team Growth (The Re:Build Way)

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring efforts, ensuring a strong and consistent candidate and new-hire experience
  • Lead and continuously improve onboarding and orientation to help new employees succeed quickly and feel connected to Re:Build’s mission
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage offboarding in a way that values feedback and supports continuous improvement
  • Actively support workforce planning, organizational design, and career development discussions at the site

Drive Performance, Development & Accountability

  • Facilitate the performance review process, providing clear tools, guidance, and training to managers and employees
  • Support performance improvement and development planning with a focus on clarity, accountability, and growth
  • Reinforce a culture of feedback, learning, and continuous improvement consistent with The Re:Build Way

Own Payroll, Compensation & Benefits with Precision

  • Process and generate payroll for the local site, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
  • Support compensation processes including job benchmarking, annual compensation planning, and wage and salary administration
  • Maintain compensation and payroll systems with accurate employee data
  • Lead open enrollment meetings and benefit communication sessions to ensure employees understand and value their total rewards

Maintain Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

  • Track and coordinate all leave of absence programs, including FMLA, STD, and LTD
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for managers and employees on employment policies and compliance matters (FMLA, COBRA, harassment prevention, etc.)
  • Assist in the preparation of site Affirmative Action Plans
  • Investigate workplace accidents and support required reporting and insurance documentation, partnering closely with site leadership to promote safety and accountability

Build Strong, Scalable HR Operations

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data with a high standard of confidentiality and integrity
  • Create and maintain site-specific HR SOPs and handbook addenda aligned with Re:Build standards
  • Support HR reporting, metrics, and data analysis to inform decision-making
  • Assist with company events, site initiatives, and cross-functional projects
  • Partner with the HQ HR team to share standard processes and support enterprise-wide initiatives

What you bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s degree, in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Plus 5 years of hands-on HR experience. Experience in manufacturing or operational environments is preferred.
  • Comprehensive HR knowledge, including employee relations, payroll, benefits, compliance, and performance management
  • Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Clear, practical communicator who can build credibility with hourly employees, managers, and senior leaders
  • Sound judgment, high integrity, and proven track record to handle sensitive situations with discretion
  • Analytical approach with the ability to use data to inform decisions and improve processes
  • Project management skills and the ability to balance day-to-day execution with longer-term improvement

Location Requirement: On site at our New Kensington, PA manufacturing plant.
