ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking a Design Director, Campaign to help lead big-idea thinking and drive the development of integrated, concept-led campaigns across our client portfolio. This is a creative manager role for someone who understands how strategy becomes story—and how story becomes impactful work in the world.
With at least 8+ years of experience, including direct client engagement, you bring a proven ability to translate brand and business strategy into powerful creative platforms, campaign systems, and executions. You are fluent in campaign thinking and confident shaping ideas across channels, teams, and touchpoints. You know how to inspire others, elevate creative quality, and ensure ideas remain strong from first concept through launch.
As a Design Director within Campaign, you will work in close partnership with Strategy, Account, and Marketing leadership to define creative direction, guide teams, and build trusted client relationships. You are as comfortable concepting and art directing as you are presenting work, mentoring talent, and contributing to new business efforts.

YOUR DAY TO DAY
- Lead the creative development of integrated brand campaigns, from early strategic framing through concepting, art direction, and execution
- Translate brand and business strategy into clear, compelling creative platforms and campaign ideas
- Provide creative leadership across multiple client engagements, ensuring consistency, quality, and conceptual strength
- Guide and mentor art directors, designers and copywriters, fostering growth through clear direction and constructive feedback
- Oversee creative teams and workflows, contributing to timelines, deliverables, and resourcing alongside project leadership
- Confidently present creative concepts and work-in-progress to clients and internal stakeholders
- Participate in new business efforts, including pitches, presentations, and proposal development
- Stay connected to cultural, creative, and industry trends to inform campaign thinking
- Actively contribute to a studio culture that values curiosity, collaboration, and creative ambition
WHAT YOU BRING
- 8+ years of experience in Art Direction, Campaign Creative, or related roles, with increasing leadership responsibility
- BFA/BA/BS in Advertising or Graphic Design, or equivalent professional experience
- A portfolio demonstrating concept-driven, integrated campaigns and that demonstrate storytelling across brand strategy
- Proven experience translating strategy into big ideas and cohesive campaign systems
- Experience working directly with clients and building long-term creative partnerships
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), PowerPoint, and Figma
- Solid skillset in AI tools like Chatgpt, Gemini and Nano Banana with bonus skillset in After Effects, Sketch, InVision, or other emerging creative technology
- Strong understanding of visual systems, and design principles across print and digital
- Experience working with brand and design systems within larger campaign ecosystems
- Proven ability to manage time, process, and workflow across multiple projects and teams
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate creative vision and rationale
- Comfortable with travel as needed in a client-service environment
Location: New York, New York
Salary range: $120,000-$150,000
