Description
Saalex is seeking an Systems Administrator I in Point Mugu, CA. Saalex is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $72,800 - $82,360 (depending on experience)
Work Location: Onsite.
Essential Functions:
- Document Management System, associated databases and CM/DM release procedures.
- Makes upgrades, expands and/or maintains existing PC computer system and provides admin support for a Windows based server.
- Provides problem solving of specific issues to computer users as required.
- Evaluates system specifications and insures hardware / software compatibility and maintains workstations and MS Windows Operating Systems for stable performance.
- Loads technical application software, with specific configurations, standard templates and interfaces.
- Performs the daily operation of MS Windows Server software to include system security, appropriate access, configuration and backing up the system.
- Installs the latest drivers and insures output devices are working properly.
- Organizes and secures directory structure per project and organizational requirements and performs data recovery as required.
- Understands the basics of HTML and maintains web enabled applications in support of Information Technology requirements.
- Configures hardware such as: workstations, printers, servers and tape drives and maintains a Computer Authorization and Custodial Receipt Listing (CA/CRL) to track equipment configurations and identification logs.
- Administers server deployment of applications and respective incremental licensing.
- Serves as POC for problem reporting, and monitors yearly support contract.
- Understands the basics of document management and supports engineering and manufacturing customers in the electronic access, publishing, viewing and printing plotting of project files.
- Uses established policies and procedures and subject matter knowledge to complete routine assignments performed under general supervision with appreciable latitude for independent contribution.

Requirements
Required:
- Security+ certification is required.
- OS certification is required.
- Candidate must have an understanding in Cyber or IA practices.
- Associates degree or higher in Information Technology or Cyber Security required.
Desired:
- ACAS scanning and patching or Vulnerability scanning and patching experience is desired.
- Windows knowledge is preferred.
Education:
- Associates degree or higher in Information Technology or Cyber Security.
Security Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance and requires eligibility to obtain Top Secret Clearance within six months of onboarding. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc. Incumbent must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and must have a valid, current state driver’s license.
