Your Job: 
As the Manager, eCommerce Merchandising, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital shopping experience for runners on BrooksRunning.com. You will lead a team of merchandisers, driving the execution of merchandising strategies that ensure our products are presented in a compelling, brand-right way. Your focus will be on optimizing day-to-day operations, implementing departmental plans, and supporting the growth and development of your team members.
 
In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners—including Marketing, Creative, Digital Products, and Analytics—to deliver seamless product launches, engaging campaigns, and a best-in-class online experience. You will be responsible for managing the digital content calendar, overseeing product setup and category management, and ensuring that site content aligns with both commercial goals and brand standards.
 
Your analytical mindset and curiosity will help you identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within your department. By monitoring key performance metrics and sharing actionable insights, you will contribute directly to the success of Brooks Running’s eCommerce business. As a leader, you will foster a collaborative, high-performance culture, acting as a conduit between department leadership and your team to ensure alignment and effective communication. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute the digital merchandising strategy for BrooksRunning.com, including product setup, categorization, and on-site presentation to drive engagement and conversion.
  • Lead digital journey mapping to support strong product presentation, discovery, and findability for all campaigns, product and seasonal launches.
  • Manage the site content calendar, ensuring timely updates for product launches, campaigns, and seasonal stories.
  • Oversee digital content planning and operations, including homepage, landing pages, and PLPs, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and SEO/AEO strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (AEO Manager, CRO Manager, Creative, Marketing, Digital Products, etc.) to keep the site fresh, relevant, and aligned with commercial and brand objectives.
  • Monitor site merchandising performance, track key metrics, and share regular updates and actionable recommendations with the broader eCommerce, Digital Products, Marketing, and Product teams.
  • Support assortment planning and product lifecycle management in partnership with Retail Analytics and Buying.
  • Identify and implement best practices to improve the online shopping experience and drive commercial results within the team’s scope.
  • Lead and coach a team of eCommerce merchandisers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Inform decision-making and ensure execution of team objectives and priorities, acting as a conduit between department leadership and individual contributors.
  • Promote continual improvement and innovation within the department, researching new trends and recommending process changes.
  • Manage resource planning and ensure documentation for processes and programs.
  • Operate against team budgets and ensure accountability for team deliverables.
  • Other responsibilities as required. 
  • Your Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Marketing, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in digital merchandising, eCommerce, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of management experience leading direct reports.
  • Proven collaborator and communicator, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in digital merchandising, including managing product set up, wayfinding, storytelling. 
  • Experience partnering with Product Management, UX, Development, Creative, Analytics, and Marketing teams to deliver innovative, effective digital experiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and data-driven optimization.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong aptitude to learn technical applications quickly; experience with Tableau and Adobe Analytics a plus.
  • Experience with JIRA, Smartsheet, and other project management tools required.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with experience interpreting data and applying insights to improve merchandising performance.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and bringing brand stories to life online.
  • Ability to understand and empathize with the runner to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community.

    Compensation: The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $17,244 - $175,918 per year. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

    Location- You will spend 3 days per week in our Seattle offices, as we believe our organization flourishes when connections, collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and celebrations happen in person.
