Team: Business Development and Investor Relations Team (BDIR)

Location: NY, NY. (Onsite 4 days per week in our NYC offices; team-level flexibility one day / week)

Job Description:

The Associate / Senior Associate will be part of the BDIR team with broad responsibility and will contribute meaningfully to the growth of the firm, its funds, and the business development and investor relations functions.The Associate / Senior Associate will play a key role in supporting and advancing ITE’s fundraising and investor engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings prior, direct experience in business development or investor relations, along with private markets knowledge and financial acumen. This candidate should be detail oriented, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where initiative, ownership, and follow-through are essential.

This individual will help enhance and organize pipeline management efforts utilizing strategic prioritization and analysis, management of investor communications, coordination of due diligence processes, and seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams including Investment, Finance, and Legal & Compliance. The Associate / Senior Associate is expected to be a self-starter, highly motivated with exceptional attention to detail, keeping processes moving forward with discipline and accuracy. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential requirements, as well as prior expertise with relevant CRM and pipeline reporting skills.

Responsibilities:

Business Development & Investor Engagement

  • Coordinate and attend internal and external meetings, ensuring clear follow-ups and organized execution across stakeholders. 
  • Drive and enhance pipeline management efforts, including reporting, tracking, prioritization, and analysis using CRM systems (InvestorFlow) and Excel.
  • Prepare and update fundraising materials (pitchbooks, updates, investor communications) in partnership with internal teams.
  • Support senior professionals with strategic business development initiatives and prioritization.

Due Diligence, RFP & DDQ:

  • Lead the coordination and completion of DDQs, RFPs, and diligence requests with high attention to detail and accuracy. Leverage other cross-functional internal teams with strong skills of collaboration, communication and project management.
  • Maintain and manage the team’s database of investor questions, responses, and related materials.
  • Incorporate portfolio data (via PowerBI and other tools) into investor materials and diligence packages.

Data, CRM & Reporting:

  • Log, track, and report investor activity and pipeline updates in the team’s CRM, Investor Flow.
  • Analyze BD activity trends to help drive insights, strategic next steps, and process improvements.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and database maintenance to strengthen investor engagements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with Investor Relations to support existing clients and deliver timely, high-quality service.
  • Work closely with investment, finance, and legal/compliance teams to gather information, align messaging, and develop materials.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years on a Business Development/Investor Relations team or Capital Introduction team. Alternative asset management experience is a plus.
  • At least 2 years in investment banking, consulting or similar experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing DDQ/RFP processes and leading due diligence workflows.
  • ‘Client-ready’ and proven ability to be trusted in external interactions from Day 1.
  • Highly proactive with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and connect details to the broader story or fundraising strategy.
  • Capable of pushing processes forward with limited direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly responsive with a client-service mindset.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across internal teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with a willingness to take on a wide range of responsibilities as needed.

 

Technical Skills

  • Strong Excel skills, including experience managing or supporting pipeline processes.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience with CRM systems (InvestorFlow a plus) and comfort using data tools (e.g., PowerBI).

Compensation

Estimated base salary range for this position is $100,00 – 175,000. Employees may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
