At State of the Heart Recovery, we are at the forefront of providing integrated, evidence-based behavioral health and addiction counseling services. As a Licensed Clinical Therapist, you will be instrumental in facilitating client recovery through individual and group therapy, clinical assessments, treatment planning, and a compassionate approach that respects the unique journey of each client. Your expertise will help clients navigate their path to healing and empowerment within a supportive environment.
In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to offer comprehensive care that addresses both mental health and substance use challenges. Your contributions will include fostering resilience, promoting coping strategies, and ensuring clients find their strengths throughout their recovery process. You will also play a key role in educating clients and their families about the nature of addiction and recovery resources available to them.
What You Will Do
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments to evaluate client needs and formulate treatment objectives.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic practices.
- Provide individual and group therapy services focusing on mental health and substance use disorders.
- Use clinical interventions that are trauma-informed, culturally competent, and promote client engagement in the therapeutic process.
- Document clinical sessions, treatment plans, and assessments in accordance with agency, state, and federal guidelines.
- Participate in clinical supervision and team meetings to support patient care and professional development.
- Collaborate effectively with medical providers, community organizations, and support services for comprehensive client care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance clinical skills and remain current with therapeutic modalities.
- Maintain adherence to ethical standards and client confidentiality throughout all interactions.
- Engage in outreach and education efforts to promote mental health awareness and substance use recovery initiatives in the community.

Requirements
What You Will Bring
- Active New Mexico licensure as a LPCC, LMHC, LCSW, or LMSW.
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in providing therapy to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for mental health and addiction treatment.
- Familiarity with regulations regarding confidentiality and treatment models specific to behavioral health.
- Strong case management and crisis intervention skills.
- Experience with electronic health record systems and documentation requirements.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
