Position: Sr. Project Manager – Energy Programs
Reports to: Assistant Director – Energy Programs
Compensation*: Competitive starting salary $81,600 – $102,800 commensurate with skills and experience, Full Pay Range: $81,600 – $124,000
Employment Classification: Contract, Exempt
Anticipated Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Office Location: Portland Metro Area, Oregon, USA

Our Location
Energy Trust provides for a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid and in-office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and potentially at community events. We are open to candidates who live throughout Oregon and Washington. The Sr. Project Manager would be expected to report to the office on a quarterly basis, at minimum.
What We’re Looking For:
This contractor position is responsible for leading and executing projects on behalf of the Assistant Director of Energy Programs to benefit the Programs Team. The identified projects will improve the Programs Team’s efficiency, responsiveness, processes, knowledge sharing, and upskilling.
The ideal candidate for this position has experience managing 3-5 projects at a time. The candidate has the ability to lead through influence and has experience collaborating with various levels of leadership. The candidate is process oriented, laying out clear approaches, maintaining timelines, and communicating effectively. Projects will be of various lengths and complexity.
This individual reports to the Assistant Director of Energy Programs.
This position is expected to report to the Portland office quarterly at a minimum for all staff and other in-person meetings.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the development and implementation of training and knowledge sharing to upskill Programs Team staff, including but not limited to the set up and implementation of a supportive program management meeting series.
- Coordinate cross-sector reporting and stakeholder response requests, including quarterly metrics.
- Develop processes and documentation to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Programs team.
- Implement special projects on behalf of the Assistant Director of Energy Programs.
- Develop and maintain cross-functional documentation and process documents.
- Utilize various tools to track and report on initiatives.
- Perform all functions of the job in a safe manner.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
· This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
What You’ll Need:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. PMP strongly preferred.
· 5 years professional experience in energy efficiency programs.
· Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing through influence.
· Experience managing processes, facilitating dialogues, and coordinating projects.
· Strong knowledge of Asana, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word software applications. Ability to build spreadsheet models based on input from managers.
· Strong interpersonal and contractor personnel management skills.
· Must be able to interact with a diverse workforce and be comfortable working in culturally diverse settings and groups.
