As a Financial Accountant your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Monitor AP/AR cycles, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate the financial reporting of subsidiaries and perform consolidation processes
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management on performance and financial health.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, processes, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements
What you will need to succeed in this role:
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or in Business Administration with a corresponding focus.
- At least two years of working experience in a Big4 audit form.
- Very good knowledge of accounting principles (HGB & IFRS or US-GAAP) and financial statements.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP (ideally, NetSuite).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in German & English) to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse large sets of data.
- High sense of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Continuous improvement & development mindset — always looking for ways to enhance processes and efficiency, and a never stop growing mentality.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
