Milhouse Engineering & Construction, Inc. seeks a Distribution Engineer II in Chicago, IL.
What you will do:
- Design to client and regulatory requirements.
- The design and delivery of green and brown field high voltage electrical substation project.
- Develop and maintain project documentation regarding protection and control design and construction.
- Support the development of plans & sections, details, control building layouts, P&C one line diagram, station service AC/DC distribution diagram, bill of material, cable schedule, etc.
- Keep Milhouse Engineering management advised of all quality.
- Schedule and budget variances in a timely manner.
- Vendor drawing review and disposition.
- Maintaining project files.
- Comply with project quality plans and standards.
- Data and document entry into various platforms.
- Reporting safety, health, and quality issues to management.
- Prepare contract amendments, change order documentation, and claims documentation.
Who you are:
- This role requires a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineer or a related role.
- 2 years of experience as a Distribution Engineer or related role.
- This role requires 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Overhead Distribution Design.
- Below Grade Distribution Design.
- IKE Pole Forman.
- Geographic Information System (GIS).
- AutoCAD.
- Google Earth.
Benefits and Salary:
- Eligible employees receive comprehensive benefits package, including medical plans w/ HRA, FSAs, dental, vision, life, dependent care, transit, parking, disability coverage, & 401(k) w/ company match. Voluntary benefits, life and AD&D insurance and STD/LTD. PTO.
