Our client is an award-winning, electrical contractor working throughout Washington, DC. We are looking for skilled Electricians to contribute to the operations of our reputable and growing business. The electrical work is Residential (80%) / Commercial (20%) Electrical Upgrades, Renovations, and Repairs. Our employees are among the best in the industry. Responsibilities:
* Plan layout, assemble, install, maintain and test electrical equipment, lighting and devices in residential and commercial settings. Common electrical work: Complete electrical upgrades to a property's electrical system, renovate existing spaces or build new additions for residences and commercial offices. Resolve problems with existing wiring, fixtures, and devices. Experience working with old wiring is highly desirable.
* Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code and perform calculations, as needed, to complete electrical assignments.
* Communicate and coordinate with colleagues and with customers about work completed and remaining. Good writing and math skills, and attention to detail are needed to submit associated paperwork to the office.
* Organize and prioritize work in order to meet project commitments. Prepare for upcoming jobs, including ensuring proper material is on hand when needed.
* Update industry knowledge and safety practices by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications, etc.
Qualifications:
-- Journeyman's License is preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience is required.
-- High standards of integrity and professionalism.
-- Clean driving record and ability to pass background / drug testing.
-- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with employees, colleagues in the field, as well as customers.
-- Excellent customer service skills are essential.
-- Fluency in English is required.
