Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
  • Monitor and document clients' health conditions and report any changes to appropriate staff or family members.
  • Assist clients with mobility, including walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
  • Help clients with medication management, ensuring they take prescribed medications on time.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the living environment, ensuring it is free of hazards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to facilitate a collaborative care approach.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a caregiving or direct support role is preferred but not required.
  • Compassionate and patient attitude with a strong desire to help others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Basic understanding of first aid and CPR; certification is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in health care or related fields is advantageous.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
