Broward House, Inc. is a compassionate organization dedicated to empowering individuals affected by chronic health challenges, particularly those living with HIV, through comprehensive support and care. Founded in 1988 during the AIDS epidemic, Broward House initially served as a hospice for uninsured individuals suffering from terminal AIDS. Over the years, as medical advancements changed the landscape of HIV care, the mission evolved, focusing on helping individuals to 'live and thrive' with HIV. Currently, we operate a 74-bed transitional housing facility that offers 24-hour medical support and an onsite substance-use treatment program, alongside managing affordable rental housing units for those in need. Our services include mental health counseling, STI testing, and personalized case management. We strive to improve the quality of life for individuals by creating tailored plans aligned with their personal goals, and we envision a community where stigma is combatting and healing is universal. We are currently seeking a meticulous Data Entry Clerk to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate data records that support our mission and vision by ensuring that our systems reflect the needs of our clients accurately.
Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain accurate data in the organization's database systems.
- Review and verify data for accuracy and completeness before entry.
- Perform routine audits on data entries to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Assist in generating reports and summaries from the database.
- Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary data and information.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Help streamline data entry processes for improved efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional data entry or administrative training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or similar position.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using data entry software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
