Key Responsibilities
- Tool Installation & Qualification: Owns full lifecycle of advanced tools; defines long-term strategy. Lead installation, startup, and qualification of equipment.
- Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure stable operation.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Develops predictive models; applies machine learning and analytics. Develop and execute maintenance schedules and predictive models to extend tool life and improve uptime.
- Equipment Performance Monitoring: Track tool metrics such as uptime, MTBF, and throughput.
- Spare Parts & Vendor Management: Leads vendor selection, contract negotiation, and roadmap alignment. Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for tool upgrades, repairs, and support.
- Process-Equipment Interaction: Leads integration of process and equipment; drives optimization. Collaborate with process engineers to ensure equipment supports process requirements and stability.
- Continuous Improvement: Leads cross-functional equipment-related improvement projects focused on cost reduction, reliability, and performance enhancement.
- Good understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other systems
- Must be able to operate a forklift
- Must have recent PLC, programmable logic control experience.
- Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics, circuits.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 2 year technical degree or 3 years of experience maintaining electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience with using software on manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Frequent climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
- Proficient computer skills
- Be able to lift 30-40 lbs.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting pay for this role is targeted to be between $35 and $40 per hour.
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
