Join our team and play an integral role in the Company’s monthly financial close process. In addition to preparing journal entries, reporting results (internally and externally), and completing balance sheet reconciliations, it is expected that you will analyze various areas of the business to help drive better results. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented team player with high standards and a zest for numbers.

Responsibilities Include: 

Work with the accounting team to prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule 

Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance 

Report Distribution Center Productivity Metrics on a weekly basis 

Form and maintain relationships with members of the teams within, but not limited to the following departments: Category Management, Distribution Center, Human Resources, Purchasing, and Information Technology to identify, reconcile and solve accounting/finance related issues   

Research and resolve management questions/requests 

Assist with the annual budget process 

Perform special analyses and other projects as needed 

 

Education and/or Experience: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred but not required 

Minimum of 5 years of experience, including 2 years of public accounting 

 

Qualifications: 

Highly motivated to meet personal, team, and corporate goals 

Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service for both internal and external customers  

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills 

Intermediate to advanced computer and Microsoft Office skills 

Strong communications, interpersonal, and networking skills 

Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills 

Physical requirements: 

Physical ability to safely perform job functions with or without aid of mechanical equipment 

Ability to exert up to 10-15 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to pick up and move objects 

Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach  

Requires manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient to typing, filing and perform other administrative job functions (type, email, etc.)
