Winter 2026 Supplemental Course Lecturer Position

The Department of Philosophy is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2026. Please include your Cover Letter and Curriculum Vitae and if applicable a copy of your Study/Work Permit. A brief course outline is optional.

PHIL 341-001 Philosophy of Science 1 (3 Credits - CAP 45)
A discussion of philosophical problems as they arise in the context of scientific practice and enquiry. Such issues as the philosophical presuppositions of the physical and social sciences, the nature of scientific method and its epistemological implications will be addressed.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

  • Applicants must have completed a PhD degree or be enrolled in a doctoral program in Philosophy;

  • Applicants must provide evidence of highly effective teaching ability as a result of having successfully taught or worked as a teaching assistant in a similar course;

  • The candidate's area of specialization should be as close as possible to that of the course being offered;

  • Experience as a teaching assistant for this course is an asset.

Tuesday and Thursday 02:35 pm-03:55 pm, January 5, 2026 – April 14, 2026. Location: LEA 14.

Salary: $11,479 per course.
