Location: Quincy, IL
Pay Range: $16.12 - $24.18 per hour | Based on Relevant Experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (some variability based on departmental needs)

About the Role

As a Medical Assistant at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional healthcare services within our Dermatology office. This position involves assisting providers with a variety of dermatologic procedures and routine office care. You will work closely with the dermatology team to ensure efficient patient visits, quality care, and a positive experience for every patient.

Primary Responsibilities

Escort patients to examination rooms, prepare them for office dermatology procedures, and accurately record vital signs and patient information. Assist providers with biopsies, injections, skin lesion treatments, and other dermatologic procedures. Provide patient education, including pre- and post-procedure care instructions. Coordinate follow-up care, communicate pathology results, and help schedule ancillary tests or procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam and procedure rooms, medical equipment, and supplies. Serve as a patient coach, offering support and reassurance throughout visits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • CPR certification required (available upon hire).

  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.

  • 1–2 years of clinical experience as a CNA, PCA, or MA preferred but not required.

  • Willingness to learn office dermatology procedures and expand dermatology knowledge.

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and comfort working with minor dermatologic procedures.
