About the role.
McCain’s North American Agriculture team is accountable for ensuring adequate potato supply matched in volume and quality to our annual & monthly production plans. The Manager of Ag Integrated Supply Chain manages our potato positions and inventories, collaborates with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to balance our production plans with our raw material, builds our annual contract coverage proposals for leadership, and collaborates closely with our Field Managers and Schedulers to elevate concerns and opportunities through our short-term and long-term planning processes. This is an essential role representing Agriculture to our wider business, requiring an individual who is a self-starter, a confident public speaker, and capable of building effective cross-functional relationships.
What you'll be doing.
Lead the capture and reporting of timely and accurate data to drive strategic decision making (monthly inventories, annual post-harvest bin sampling, etc.)
Update the Monthly Potato Position Report by NA Plant Location, including specialty product categories like wedges, Innovator, yellow flesh, Regen Fries, and more
Develop tools and dashboards that automate our monthly reporting processes and generate insights à oversee the transition from Excel to PowerBI
Represent Agriculture in our cross-functional supply planning processes (both short term and long term) to ensure business decisions appropriately consider raw/grower costing and implications
Build and maintain close cross-functional relationships to solve challenges and take advantage of opportunities
Lead capture and reporting of in-season potato market intelligence including price, quality, and quantity of open market potatoes
Manage Buy Orders application within applicable digital tools, ensuring in regions purchases remain within set parameters for price & volume
Manage regional and global reporting on potato markets, positions, crop development, and factory performance
Lead our weekly field team meetings focused on crop and storage process; collaborate with our Transformation team to develop dashboards that allow us to generate insights
Build our annual contract coverage proposal and support Field Teams in using category management tools to strategically allocate volume
Participate as-needed in long-term network planning exercises and other strategic projects
Quantify the value of Ag ISC projects that generate financial savings (called SCA at McCain)
Supporting our Seed & Variety Team in aligning seed pipelines with long-range commercial plans
What you'll need to be successful.
Build strong cross-functional partnerships with finance, manufacturing, and planning
Drive data and communicate effectively to ensure business performance
Standardize our reporting processes and automate where appropriate
Support delivery of our annual coverage, forecast accuracy, and cost savings goals
Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
Relevant working experience, preferably within agricultural, manufacturing, finance, or supply chain
Excellent communication skills and ability to successfully influence internal and external parties
Interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to develop and nurture strong cross-functional and departmental relationships
Confidence with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn PowerBI
Strong problem-solving skills

Location: This role has the flexibility to be based out of any of our NA corporate offices -- Florenceville, New Brunswick; Toronto, Ontario; Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, USA
Travel: <15%. Mostly within North America, including travel for development opportunities & as business needs require

Compensation Package: $97,500.00 - $130,000.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
