Intern high precision GNSS navigation and positioning (m/f/d) 

The GNSS & COMS team is part of the john Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) in Kaiserslautern, focusing on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technologies and Communication Systems (COMS) for precision agriculture and advanced machine connectivity. Our work underpins John Deere’s StarFire™ positioning solutions and Mobile RTK systems, enabling high-accuracy guidance and data sharing across platforms.

Your Responsibilities: 

• Explore cutting-edge GNSS topics such as LEO-PNT, PPP, and integrity monitoring—or propose your own innovative ideas
• Design and implement algorithms in software; validate concepts using simulated and real-world data
• Analyze results and present findings to internal teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement of positioning and navigation technologies

What Skills You Need: 

• Studying geodesy, geomatics, mathematics, computer science, or related field
• Solid understanding of GNSS satellite navigation and parameter estimation theory
• Proficiency in programming (Matlab, Python, or C++)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
