Reporting to the Open Pit Engineering Coordinator, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment. 

 

  • Execute daily tasks for the survey team based on tasks priorities of the production and survey leader determination including but not limited to grade shorts, drill pattern stakeout, clean-up requirements, field limits, etc… 

  • Acquire expertise with the various programs used in the survey department including but not limited to Deswik, Fleet Manager, Bench View, Maptek, Pix4d and others 

  • Ensure survey quality of every field survey jobs and regular update of: 

    • Mine Status Map 

    • Waste Dump Status Map  

    • Site Map update 

    • Detailed Pit Status  

    • Ore Stockpiles  

    • Aggregate Stockpiles  

    • Surveyed cut and bootlegs  

    • HPGPS Drill calibration 

  • Assist the surveyor leader with end of month process and different special projects. 

  • Promote Health and Safety by participating and in the monthly Departmental H&S meeting.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mine, Civil (hydrology/hydraulic), or Geological Engineering;  

  • Open pit or underground mining experience;  

  • Experience working with Deswik is considered an asset; 

  • Ontario Common Core or Québec FMTM modules are considered an asset. 

 

Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English. 

Your Work Schedule: 

  • Schedule: 14 days of work of 12 hours’ shifts, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; 

  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
