We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Technician at our Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada site.

What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with Canola seed growers during the summer through on-site field visits and hands-on support.
- Manage plant operations from seed receiving to packaged seed shipping at the Lethbridge facility.
- Operate a variety of plant equipment, including sizing machines, gravity tables, spiral separators, seed treatment applicators, and packaging systems.
- Perform conditioning activities such as cleaning, sizing, treating, packaging, palletizing, wrapping, and sampling.
- Handle order processing tasks, including tag printing, grading, data entry, and maintaining government documentation.
- Oversee shipping and receiving, interplant transfers, rework, warehousing, and inventory control for bagged and bulk seed, ensuring safe forklift operation.
- Support harvest activities from seed intake to storage.
- Ensure compliance with work instructions and quality plan standards.
- Conduct routine repair and maintenance of plant equipment as needed.
Education:
- You have your High School Diploma/GED.
What Skills You Need:
- 1-2 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or related field.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and able to obtain a driver's abstract for operating company vehicles as part of the job duties.
- Ability to climb and/or work in elevated areas, standing and sitting for extended periods.
- Flexible and available to work overtime, including weekends and seasonal shift schedules.
- Capable of safely and repeatedly lifting to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in diverse environments, including both indoor and outdoor settings under varying weather conditions.
- Strong computer literacy with ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; dependable, accurate, and timely in deliverables.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Post-secondary education in agriculture or related discipline.
- Experience in light industrial operations, manufacturing, field production/farming, seed processing, or warehouse environments.
- Knowledge of farming practices, production agriculture, and plant operations.
