R&D Analytical Scientist (1-Year Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Swindon, UK

Position summary; Monday – Friday 37.5 per week.

Catalent Pharma Solutions is expanding, and we’re excited to invite a talented R&D Analytical Scientist to join our dynamic Analytical Team at our Swindon facility.

As an Analytical Scientist, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Analytical Development group. You’ll contribute to project execution, method development, and laboratory activities—all within a cGXP-compliant environment. Your work will directly support product innovation, process validation, and global product delivery.

The Role:

• Perform analytical testing with a focus on cleaning validation, as well as support for process development, stability and clinical batch release, and method validation
• Operate and maintain a wide range of laboratory equipment with confidence
• Participate in research into new technologies and analytical techniques
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Analytical Development team
• Apply root cause analysis and statistical tools to support investigations
• Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment, including housekeeping and safety audits
• Ensure all work aligns with regulatory and cGXP standards

The Candidate:

• Degree (or higher) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline or equivalent experience
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

• Hands-on experience in a cGXP laboratory environment
• Working knowledge of HPLC and other analytical instrumentation
