About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Senior Advisor HSE to join our team and contribute to TLEA’s exciting global vision on a permanent full-time basis, working in Kwinana.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of HSE systems and processes to support the overall safety goals of the Company.

Role responsibilities

  • Partner with operational leaders to integrate safety into planning, decision-making, and daily activities.
  • Lead safety campaigns, behavioural safety initiatives, and engagement programs to strengthen workforce participation.
  • Lead the development, review, and implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and system documentation in alignment with ISO standards, company standards and legislative requirements.
  • Support external ISO audits and certification processes, including preparation, audit facilitation, and corrective action management.
  • Conduct internal audits, management reviews, and system performance assessments to verify ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
  • Maintain oversight of the critical risk management program and track actions to closure.
  • Lead or support incident investigations using root cause methodologies (e.g. ICAM) and ensure learnings are embedded.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with site safety standards and participate in prequalification and onboarding reviews.
  • Develop and deliver toolbox talks, awareness sessions and targeted training programs.
  • Maintain safety data and records within the HSE risk management database, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare monthly safety performance reports, highlighting key lag and lead indicators, risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.

About you

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • 5+ years’ experience in similar role/s within the resources industry.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other applicable software programs.
  • Formal training in incident investigation.

Location

TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant. 


Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
