What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
Achieve operational excellence and enhance supply chain efficiency by supporting the development and implementation of robust demand forecasting strategies. Utilize data analytics, market insights, and cross-functional collaboration, to accurately anticipate product demand, minimize inventory costs, and ensure timely delivery.
The primary role of the Demand Forecasting Analyst is to execute the Demand Forecasting Process for a portfolio of products as part of Sales and Operational Planning Process to ensure that company objectives are achieved.
- Build the necessary tools/models to support demand forecasting for monthly demand planning, annual demand planning and ad-hoc requests.
- Provide accurate and timely volume performance analysis to facilitate demand forecasting.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting as per the regional guidelines.
- Support the Demand Planning Sr. Manager on the monthly demand planning process and improve forecasting accuracy.
- Run the statistical baseline in Kinaxis to identify opportunities/gaps on the demand plan based (considering market trends, customers vision, expected exceptional, guidelines issued from previous S&OP cycles)
- Co-operate with the Product and Marketing teams to understand the product availability and coming Marketing activities
- Work with sales teams and supply chain management to improve forecast accuracy.
- Monitor the tracking up-take of project stocks from FGS and distributor warehouse against forecast.
- Develop good working relationships with peers within Marketing functions and EM to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Continuously strive to improve current tools and methodologies to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Develop own managerial skills as identified and agreed in personal development plan.
- Deliver the Consensus Demand Forecast for a portfolio of products through the monthly planning process.
- Provide accurate and timely volume performance analysis to facilitate demand forecasting.
- Maintain statistical forecast models and baseline
- Maintain forecast drivers at the appropriate level of the product hierarchy
- Maintain core assumptions and their impact on the demand scenario.
- Track core assumptions, trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Constructively challenge stakeholders on the accuracy of drivers.
- Monitors Actual Sales vs Forecast
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of Forecast as per Global Guidelines.
- Track actual performance against forecast, working cross functionally to understand reasons for variance and providing analysis and recommendations to Manager for remedial action.
- Working with Supply Team to mitigate disruption from the evolution of the forecast.
- Build and maintain good working relationships within department and intra-department to support implementation and smooth execution of demand forecasting within the Sales & Operational Planning process.
- Identify and propose improvement opportunities in current process to enhance the effectiveness of the demand planning process within the organization.
Please note that this role may require you to work in rotational shifts.

Experience Required
- A graduate in Engineering / Statistics / Economy / Finance
- 2+ years of work experience in supply chain, logistics, operations or S&OP related areas in a large-scale organisation (FMCG)
- Good understanding of End To End Supply Chain Management
- Experience with Supply Chain Planning tools: Any ERP like SAP, Blue yonder or APO. Kinaxis is a nice to have
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Good commercial awareness and strong understanding of domain along with strategy and business model
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with senior and other levels of staff in all departments and companies both within the group and externally.
- Highly disciplined in data management
- Highly skilled in Excel: Expert
- Project Management skills is a good to have (deployment in projects or process improvement)
- Writing, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills to a high standard and in fluent English (the working language).
- Highly numerate with the ability to make decisions and judgements, the ability to work in a changing environment generating innovative ideas and creative solutions.
- The most important metrics by which successful performance will be judged are:
- Timely delivery of monthly demand forecasting file and tracking tools.
- Timely delivery and updating of sales report and other tracking reports.
- Improved company forecast accuracy, leveraging on the accountable forecasting processes.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- A graduate in Engineering / Statistics / Economy / Finance
- Project Management certification is a nice to have
- Experience in S&OP environment
