Position Description
ENSCO Avionics, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to join our Engineering Process Quality group with focus on Avionic software and firmware certification. The position will require knowledge of Avionic systems software and firmware release cycle as defined in DO-178C and DO-254 standards. The candidate is the mentor to Engineering systems group and liaison between systems and end customers during Stage of Involvement cycles. Candidate will be required to learn existing processes as well as interpret and develop process solutions for new programs. Tools for the task will be standard Microsoft Office though knowledge of embedded software programs, compilers, and methods are a positive enhancement for the position. Requirements, test procedures, and results will be placed in CM system and traced via DOORS to meet standards. The position will include working with a broad spectrum of Engineering management and test Engineers where solid teamwork is a plus.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s or equivalent with 3+ years related experience
Experience with formal requirements and reviewing software test cases and procedures
Experience with SQA or EPQ review cycles
Experience with controlled CM systems
Excellent verbal communication skills – must be able to communicate effectively in teleconferences with suppliers, clients, and colleagues
Excellent interpersonal skills including working in team environments
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security clearance for which you must be a U.S. Citizen
Qualifications Desired:
Experience with Embedded software environments such as VxWorks or similar real-time toolset
Experience with Test Equipment Script languages such as CsGTI or Python
Experience with Configuration systems such as RAZOR, Synergy, and GITHUB
